Superb location in historic center! Great price, simple, clean with access to breakfast. You are greeted and assisted by the former owner who now manages the property. She is kind and solicitous of her guests’ needs and goes the extra mile to ensure their comfort. The walk up is a bit steep but we are 3 women in our 70s and managed. There are two onsens for guests. The one for women is bright and cheerful.

The size of the room was okay for three adults and not too much luggage, the beds comfy, extra wool blankets great, the pillow buckwheat? wasn't a problem for my neck, the location is central and an easy walk to the main attractions. I would not recommend it for anyone with lots of luggage as access is a steep path ,but manageable for our group, 68,69,78 years old. Dining room is old style charming breakfast and lunch available and was nice to be up high with a view over Takayama.

The location is perfect, we had nice view of the city. Our room was cozy and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We ordered breakfast two times in japanese style ans it was absolutely amazing.

The breakfast was very nice (every day was different) and very complete: it included meat or eggs, fruits, salad and bread. The room was nice and the views were gorgeous!

Spacious room and comfortable beds, nice onsen bath and breakfast, it’s located a bit uphill overlooking the city, the view is a plus!
